Cleimp 2. by hips open, i am referring to that action of trying to push your back to the pole and making sure your hips are not pointed at the ground. what you are doing with the leg correction is actually opening your hips.
i made a comment for you on the other thread - try to put the pole more in your armpit and less on your bicep and think about trying to make the top part of your arm parallel to the ground
it might be interesting for you to try the entry from the ground that i demonstrate in the video on the other thread. in this case, it would be doing something similar to what you have pictured, but taking the other leg to your arm-shelf first and then pushing your back up to the pole.
