For me on powder coated poles I can't wear any grip or I'll slip. I just have to wipe the pole with alcohol and a rag very very often (like after every attempt of anything) and maybe wipe my hands and feet with my alcohol rag too if I'm getting slippery. We have one powder coated pole at my studio and when I've told other people to just to wipe down the pole more often and wash off their grip when they're slipping they have a better time sticking on the powder coat too (ours is black x pole, idk if it makes a difference). I personally dont like powder coat bc I don't have the patience to wipe the pole all the time and I like to feel like I have control over my grip πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

jamimah hahahaha yes it makes sense and it's complicated question without orientation so if someone is standing in the anatomical position (arms at sides with palms up) it would be the inside of the forearm (pinky side). I just did it and tried to get a better angle

One thing I notice that I think is messing with your positioning is your bottom arm seems to have a broken wrist rather than keeping the wrist in line with the forearm. It looks like you're having the contact point be your wrist rather than your forearm which would make it much harder to hold majority of your body weight. I personally set up the bottom arm first so I can get the harder contact point first as well as upper back placement before moving the top hand onto my inside thigh. I'm doing a different entrance here but you can see it's like "grab at neck level and forearm on the pole" was the correction my teacher gave me in class this week to get into the position faster.

jamimah so I didn't post the question on the app bc I didn't want to seem like I was complaining about being too flexible and come across as obnoxious πŸ˜‚, but the question was what do you do for the jade stretching exercises if your foot is already touching the floor and you don't feel anything when you're supposed to be pressing the back leg into the floor.

No handed jade. Took a while to figure out how to not immediately slide down the pole πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ
