I was intrigued bc I didn't know this move, so after watching Steph's 90 second pole dictionary video I decided to attempt bc I'm chaotic πIt looks like in your video you're swinging the inside leg around and keeping it straight (like a jade split kinda) and then trying to reach for the pole by lifting your upper body to get that hand around the inside leg. I was able to do it by bending the inside leg and thinking of bringing my knee towards my shoulder (more like a BOP) which allowed me to grab the pole around the inside leg easily to get into the move. Again, I've attempted this move only one time so defer to Steph π¬

One last tip I noticed too is that when I grab for the pole in Allegra/allegasus, I actually flip my hand that's grabbing the pole so I'm in cup grip grabbing the front of the pole. I personally can't do an Allegra reaching around grabbing the back of the pole like you're trying to do in your video bc I have T-Rex arms. Curious about that top arm placement and if one is technically correct or if both are valid Stephanie Tallant
