Susan you were close! Agree with Lou that the top hand needs to be lower, so your leg does haven't to travel up as high. The higher that top hand is, the higher our leg has to go. Glad you're having fun with this combo!!

Amber Clark  Vanessa  Susan Papp Mlodzienski I've learned that the one handed butterfly is one of those moves that really does look so different on everyone depending on proportions, arm strength, hamstring strength, etc... Some students have the chest super close and sometimes ON the pole. Others say they feel more comfortable with chest further away. My recommendation would be to try it both ways and see if there is one way that works better for you!

Yes, so re-watching your first video now... if you move that lower hand towards the mat a tad, that'll automatically bring your chest a little closer to the pole and might make that crucifix entry more secure. Yayyy! That sounds like a great session!! 😍 The goal here is for the wrist to stay stacked over the shoulder (I know it's tough!!). I find this exercise can be helpful to be done in front of a mirror or even if you record yourself with a front facing camera, so you can see when that arm starts to drift off to the side. Make sense?
