For the sit, try entering it with straight legs as quickly as possible (hip flexor and quad engagement) and as soon as you arrive, start leaning to the right as quickly as possible to help you catch yourself in time before the elbows lose the grip.

For the arm thread through, try lowering that top hand a little to allow you more space to lean further away from pole (and more space for the arm to thread through

Susan Papp Mlodzienski yes! And you can measure progress by how far your butt is from the floor! So, filming from the side can be helpful
