The next trick I have my sights set on is #janeiro! Stephanie Tallant I *think* my setup is good, but I’m having trouble bringing my top leg down. I think I need to keep it closer to the pole as I lower it, do you have any cues to help this (or any other tips/suggestions)? Thank you xoxoxo

Challenge
August 05 — 18, 2024
I've received feedback that having two weeks for the challenges would be really helpful! I do agree that this will give you all more time to practice and further explore all the new (or old) things! I love feedback like this and am always here for it. Thanks students!
Videos will appear at the bottom of this post on August 5th or click this link:

Your Weekly Challenge!
✨Jade & Active Flexibility for Jade
✨OR leg hangs if you are not comfortable to try jade yet (that is OK!)
Requirements:
Click "Join"
Because there are different levels included in this challenge, you do not need to mark all videos as "watched". However please follow the other requirements
Comment on this post with a picture (screenshot is fine) of something from your training this week (it can be anything... a move from the challenge, a screenshot from a flexibility or gym session, etc).
Share a picture or a video on Instagram and tag @stephanietallant_pole and #thebestpoleapp
Each month, there will be one randomly selected winner chosen amongst all members who complete the weekly challenge at least TWICE during the month!
SAFETY: There are different levels included in these challenges. Please approach new moves safely. Use a crash pad if you have it or if you have a trusty spotter, that's great too. I want you all to be safe, that's my #1 priority :)) If you're unsure about the prerequisites to the moves, please feel free to ask that question in the Community Feed ("Hey Steph. I really want to try XYZ, but not sure if I should. What are some of the moves I should have before this?) and I can help you determine if a move is appropriate for you to try!
Do you need some additional Tips on the Stargazer to Layback & Iguana Exits? I filmed a mini tutorial this morning. Click this link: https://youtu.be/rXPKQrbn0oc?si=KUp1s8ox2gh3a0i3
This video was filmed in response to videos & questions posted here in the Community Feed by Amber Clark & Susan Papp Mlodzienski! Thanks for the questions ladies ❤️
Content Spotlight: Pole Conditioning Program | I used it to get things moving this morning & loved it! 💪🏼
Back to Jade, how do you get the inside leg off from the flatline position? I am in my waist But I feel like my inside foot is simply glued to the pole. Stephanie Tallant
Additional Pegasus Tips for jamimah!! Thanks for posting your video & questions babe: https://youtu.be/r0oka1tRolA?si=UirUBG6KaB1cSgOP
Keep me posted when you watch and try again!
Hi Stephanie Tallant! If I try the variation that needs inside leg hang, when I catch the pole with left hand my right leg goes up..😭 Help me 😁
Stephanie Tallant lol idk 🤷🏾♀️ I didn’t fall back yay but it doesn’t feel “good”… is the bottom arm better? Also why does my top leg feel soooooo close to the pole even after I take it off? Okay and last question when I go to make that back leg straight do I go to the back or the side? Also last thing 😅 there’s no much space to arch my upper back..
A great drill for training the active flexibility in the back leg of inverted pole splits (jade, dragontail, pegasus, etc)! It's a progression the active flexibility drill in the Jade Tutorial where your butt is on a stack of blocks! I specifically filmed this for subscriber, Vanessa, based on a question she asked me, but I hope many of you can take advantage of it. If you don't have a bench, a folded pole mat, or even a bed works great! https://youtu.be/OYqCGqI8LEA
Hi Stephanie Tallant , I'm trying to find a tutorial on the meathook. I found it in a couple of combos, but it'd be helpful to see it and get explanation from the most basic entry.
Thank you!!!
