Ignore the second clip, that's my bad side and an embarrassment to your entire app.

Drop down: why am I so awkward and bad besides the obvious, (me going on the wrong side of the pole)?

Assisted press up: again, why awkward and bad?

The shapes at the end: are they right?

Brass monkey weekly challenge attempts πŸ’ I tried them all but some were more successful than others 🫣

Stephanie Tallant See I say that, but if you actually tried to fight me on which is the easier transition, I'm such a Steph Stan I'd probably be persuaded. You could tell me the sky is green and I'd tell myself "it's bc she's good at pole that's why you don't see it" πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ˜‚

Steph can fight me on this one, but cross ankle layback to brass monkey has always been easier than cross knee to me. Requires less flailing to find the pole and legs feel more secure in the transition 😬I'm bendy so I can do both, but anyone struggling with the cross knee layback (πŸ‘ŽπŸ½) I'd try cross ankle first personally.

One last tip I noticed too is that when I grab for the pole in Allegra/allegasus, I actually flip my hand that's grabbing the pole so I'm in cup grip grabbing the front of the pole. I personally can't do an Allegra reaching around grabbing the back of the pole like you're trying to do in your video bc I have T-Rex arms. Curious about that top arm placement and if one is technically correct or if both are valid Stephanie Tallant

I was intrigued bc I didn't know this move, so after watching Steph's 90 second pole dictionary video I decided to attempt bc I'm chaotic πŸ™ƒIt looks like in your video you're swinging the inside leg around and keeping it straight (like a jade split kinda) and then trying to reach for the pole by lifting your upper body to get that hand around the inside leg. I was able to do it by bending the inside leg and thinking of bringing my knee towards my shoulder (more like a BOP) which allowed me to grab the pole around the inside leg easily to get into the move. Again, I've attempted this move only one time so defer to Steph 😬

Stephanie Tallant ahhhh I see, I think this is "pole terminology" confusion. I was doing a move I learned as "flying jasmine" so I need to just do the right move πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

So I know it seems like I didn't watch the video, but I actually did 😭 For some reason my straight leg wouldn't go lower than parallel and kept face planting πŸ€ͺyou make it look so easy πŸ«
