I don’t know if this helps ( or if it’s the right way hahah) but I have thick thighs so my arms can’t reach either so I cheat it by turning my chest all the way to that leg and dropping that bottom arm downnn..🫶🏾

I press to come up a little bit and go back down deeper like you mention in the video but I don’t think I am pressing into to floor the entire time..
